One Happy Family

Written by my own paws - Mercy

Danny is a very funny dog. Whenever he pees, he sprays urine on his front legs.  Mommy complains that Danny has a bad smell. Poor Daddy has to wash him all the time. I overheard him mumbling about teaching Danny the right way to pee. However, with two crippled hind legs, peeing normally may be difficult for our dear brother.

Danny is a very obedient dog. He does not complain when left alone out on the front porch. He is not allowed to roam freely inside the house because he has not learned how to control his bowel.

From left: Danny, Goodness and me the Big Sister Mercy!
The other night, when Mommy hugged him, Danny peed all over her. Whenever, he gets excited, he sprays his fountain of blessings. He also loves to lift his 'gold deposit' in the living room. Whenever, we hear Daddy screaming, "No! Danny!" then we know that Danny is in trouble again. Now you see why he has to be left out on the front porch.

The other problem with Danny is that he has not learned where to poo. Even while walking on the front porch, he does not spot the cemented area for us dogs to poo. He just decides that he has to poo and so he poos! Most of the time, the thought about pooing comes whenever he is by the front gates. This puppy produces really big pile of poo poo.

Once again, before our car can be parked on the front porch, Daddy has to clean the poo poo. He uses lots of old newspapers and water to do this smelly job. Thankfully, our water filter produces enough water from the back-wash to clean all the poo poo. The grass in front of our gates is green and healthy - thanks to the back-wash water that cleanses Danny's poo poo and also Goodness' and my regular fertilization contribution.

Danny has a very very loud bark. Whenever he barks, there is an echo that follows every bark. Thankfully, he does not bark that often. Daddy and Mommy do not allow us to be noisy. They are really upset if we bark for no good reason.

Danny is also a very playful dog. Whenever he wants to play, he will 'bite' my legs or Goodness' legs. He will produce a playful growl and then the game will begin. Goodness and I have learned how to subdue him but this thick-skinned fella is very tenacious. In spite of being pinned down or pushed off, he would return again and again... until all of us are exhausted.

Danny does not playfully bite Daddy or Mommy. Our parents trained him early not to use his teeth. So Danny only lick their hands and legs.

Even though Daddy and Mommy are looking for a new home for Danny, we pray that they will not be successful. We have fallen in love with this happy-go-lucky puppy and we like him to stay with us forever.

Bow wow wow... we are one big happy family!
