Alaska, The New Monster In Our House

Mama Grace had a sprained ankle and so grandpapa and grandmama paid us a visit. Goodness, Danny and I were so excited that we jumped all over them. Danny was especially rowdy and lacked social graces so much so that Daddy locked all of us outside in the front porch. It was a good thing that he left the wooden door opened so, the three of us just peered in from outside.
After a long visit, grandparents left. It seemed that the night would be another quiet one. that changed after two hours later. I had to rub my eyes with my paws - right at the front of the gates were grandpa and grandma... and who was with them? The moment for happy barking and jumping had arrived again. That was our favorite aunt and our personal vet - Doctor Pam.
Once again, Daddy, the spoiler of our fun came out. This time, I got locked in the cage and the other two were ushered into the house so that the two grand ones and the good doctor could walk in without our harassment.

I smelled it first. Doctor Pam had a carrier with her and in it was a new monster. Daddy took the monster out and cuddled it. He called her, "Alaska". I remember when it was Mommy who named this monster when she first appeared at our house. Doctor Pam had taken Alaska back to the clinic and did the same procedure that she had done on me and Goodness. Danny had a different procedure that was meant for male dogs.
The next day, Alaska disappeared from the cage. She had found a hole and decided to go gallivanting. However, hunger brought her back in the afternoon and I could see Daddy grinning like a clown. He was muttering to all of us, "Friend, friend!" I guess Daddy was afraid that we would swallow that new monster up. He should be more afraid of Tabby Boy because I saw him gave that killer-stare at Alaska. Sooner or later, this Tabby guy will show the new monster who the real chief monster of the house is.
So, whether we like it or not, Alaska the new monster is now a part of the family. Welcome to our house, Sister dearest! Bow wow wow

Amazing pictures of friendship between a cat and a bird
What a lovely friendship between two animals. This will happen to all animals when the Lord returns. The Bible says, "The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, but dust will be the serpent's food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain," says the LORD (Isaiah 65:25).

Another Monster Joins Our Family

When Dr. Pam turned up with a pet-carrier, I knew that we were in trouble. A grayish monster with a big head stepped out. Mommy and Daddy were so happy. In fact, Mommy spent the whole evening with Dr. Pam, talking about this new monster.
From their conversation, we learned that this monster was badly treated by someone. There is a scar on his right side. Dr. Pam rescued him from the street and kept him in her clinic. However, this monster had been escaping from his cage and damaging bags of dog and cat foods in the clinic. So, Dr. Pam decided that this monster needed another home with more reliable cage.
As usual, Daddy gave us his lecture about animal treatment - telling us to treat this monster as well as Jellicle, the other monster. Well, Daddy really does not need to worry about that. He should lecture these monsters to treat Goodness and me well. The truth is that these cats are fiercer than all the dogs in our neighborhood combined.
This new monster is called, 'Tabby Boy'. Funny name - given by Dr. Pam. I called him 'Flabby Ball'. He was so fat that Mommy said that he looked like a Puffy Fish. Though I have never seen a puffy fish in my life, I guess this type of fish must be really ugly and bloated.
Flabby Ball, (well, okay, not to be rude, since we are very educated canines), Tabby Boy is of a gentler nature than his adopted brother, Jellicle. He has a cute side and that makes Goodness and me laugh. Tabby Boy would walk past Daddy or Mommy and suddenly, he would just collapse and become a soft lump of furry cuteness. That always stop our parents in their track. Many a time, they would cuddle him because he is "so so cute".
Tabby Boy was fat because he never had enough to eat. Whenever, he saw food, he would grabbed as much as possible. To shed those pounds, Dr. Pam gave strict instruction not to overfeed him. However, Daddy did not follow her instruction.
For a few days, Daddy filled the Taddy Boy's food bowl with lots of cat's goodies. Mommy questioned the wisdom of doing that. Daddy's theory was that if Tabby Boy had too much to eat, he would become tired of eating. True to his theory, after a while, Tabby Boy stopped finishing all his food. Today, this fat cat has lost some weights and eats according to his own needs.
Goodness and I hope to live peacefully with these cats. We have been very humble and give them a lot of room to move around. We trust that they will give us a lot of room too.
Through my Dog Blog, we will keep you updated on the activities of these two monsters in our home. Be sure to check our Dog Blog regularly. Woof and triple woofs.
Jellicle The King

The inevitable has happened. Jellicle the Cat is now the new King. I have been deposed as the Queen. Ever since, Jellicle moves into our house, he has been occupying our 'house'. Yes, the big cage that used to house both Goodness and me is now his castle. He lives in absolutely comfort. Mommy and Daddy even give him a little toy tied to a string. Every day, they pull the string a few times to excite this silly creature.
Jellicle the Cat has also charmed our parents with his soft enchanting purring. He sits in their laps and generates a low vibration that seems to bring smile to our parents. When we try to charm our parents by using the same approach, nothing but a rough growl echoes from our canine vocal cords.
This instead creates an opposite effect! Thinking that we are growling at Jellicle, our parents sternly warn us not to growl at that despicable monster.
Nowadays, Jellicle the Cat is behaving like he owns the whole place. Wherever he walks, we have to give way. Daddy gives us specific lectures on how we should love our newly adopted 'brother'. Daddy says that we are bigger, stronger and have bigger mouths and teeth. We should love and protect Jellicle because that horrible critter is smaller, weaker and have smaller teeth.
What Daddy does not know is that we are the victims and need protection. Every time, when Goodness and I accidentally stray into Jellicle's path, that crazy feline arches his back and hisses like a boiling kettle. At one time, my poor sister has to jump higher than the... Petronas Tower, just to get out of his way.
My mommy wants to cut Jellicle's claws but Daddy disapproves. Daddy says that since Jellicle will take a walk around the neighborhood by himself, he would need his claws to protect himself from other cats or animals. What Daddy does not realize that Jellicle is using the same claws against us. A few times, we almost got our eyes and noses scratched out.
To prevent the loss of our senses, Goodness and I have devised a plan. We now stay far away from him. In short, we avoid him at all cost.
The story does not end there. I have my own way to get back at this monster. Whenever he gets out of the cage, I will enter and finish all his food. In this way, I hope to starve him to ... become a skinny cat.
Woof, woof, triple woofs!
