This morning, we heard Daddy before he even opened the door. To tell you a secret - we were supposed to guard our house but instead we slept under the car all night. Don't get us wrong - we were very alert. Any robber will have a hard time breaking in. With the two of us, we will chew him to mincemeat. Hmmm... thinking about mincemeat, it should be time for breakfast.

It's Saturday and so Mommy is sleeping in a little. She is an editor of a health magazine and works really hard. Saturdays are days for her beauty sleep. Most probably, breakfast will become brunch. We are not hungry anyway.

Saturday is a fun day because the kids in the neighborhood play on the street. The popular game is badminton. A kid on each side of the street and the game begins. The game stops when a vehicle appears. After the vehicle has passed, the game is on again. In the beginning, Goodness and I were fascinated by the shuttle cock. But watching this white 'ball' bouncing from one side to another was very tiring for our necks. So, we stop doing that now. We just watch the kids.

Another fun thing is to bark at those guys who give out the ad-flyers. Our noses are equipped with special smell detectors and we can smell these guys as soon as they walked into our street. Daddy and Mommy always seem fascinated when we apparently growl at nothing. We have trained Daddy to open the door for us so that we can go out to the porch and do our mock attacks. We just growl and then bark at the door. It would be so noisy that our dear old dad has to oblige us by opening the main door. Then we charge frantically at the gate. By that time, the ad-flyer guy would be near our gate. If he were to be a new guy, he may drop the flyer on the floor and we would promptly chew it to pieces.

Poor Daddy will have to sweep the mess up. He never scolds us for doing that. Apparently he realizes that it is in our nature to destroy any useless paper. However, we remember once he was really mad because we chewed an envelope dropped by the mailman. Ah, one thing that you may like to know - we never bark at the mailman. The reason? Well, he is the legitimate and authorized guy to do the mailing job. Moreover, we have seen him waving at Daddy.

Well, the day is young and we look forward to a lot of exciting events today.
Bow wow wow.
